Planning a 2026 or 2027 team visit to El Triunfo

Churches, families and small groups regularly ask how to serve on the ground. Here is what a visit actually looks like and how to start the conversation.

Children playing together outside the Hearts 4Kids community center

We hear from groups every year who want to come to Ecuador and serve. Short-term visits can be genuinely useful — and they can also be disruptive if they are planned around what visitors want to do rather than what the community needs.

So we plan them the other way around. Teams work alongside our Ecuadorian staff on whatever is actually in front of us that month: helping at the center, supporting food distribution, assisting with children's programs, and sometimes practical work on the building itself.

What to expect

Simple accommodations, hot weather, long days and a schedule that can change. What visitors consistently say afterward is that the relationships mattered more than the tasks.

Starting the conversation

Dates fill up around school breaks and holidays, so the earlier you reach out the better. Tell us your group size, rough timeframe and any skills you're bringing, and we'll tell you honestly whether we can host you well.
